Marybert School, Lalitpur, Nepal
MSH has supported Marybert School,
110 student’s age 4 to 12 years
old, and an orphanage, looking after
19 children, in Kathmandu since July
2007. Since MSH started to assist
the school 33 additional children
have been able to attend with schools
fees and uniforms being provided,
the environment in which the children
learn has been improved with a toilet
block being built, educational standards
have been greatly improved with the
provision of stationery and the a
new library built which is filled
with new educational books.
MSH also provides lodging, clothes
and food for 4 of the orphans. Sabrina
Thapa, School Principal, thinks MSH
has greatly improved standards at
the school and continues to look to
provide very much need support to
increase not only the environment
in which the children learn but also
the standard of education through
much needed equipment.
Sabrina hopes for in the future that
MSH maybe able to assist with the
provision of; computers and a computers
classroom to enable children from
Grade 1 to have computer lessons in
their curriculum, games providing
children with the opportunity to work
as a team, improve coordination and
also have fun! A school vehicle so
more children can be brought to the
school and the eventual upgrade of
the school to secondary level so the
children can complete their education
at the school.
